Abstract

The indirect protection of the reverse of paint on canvas has a great application as a barrier against environmental degradation agents. However, under this definition are grouped other treatments that have a purpose beyond simple insulation. This aspect transforms the term into a general category rather than a specific type of intervention. To date, there is no precise lexicon with which to refer to them appropriately. In this article, a review of the scientific literature has been carried out to collect the singularities of each one.

Daniel Morales-Martín, Universidad Complutense de Madrid

Conservador-Restaurador de Bienes Culturales por la Universidad de Granada (2018) y Máster en Diagnóstico del Estado de Conservación del Patrimonio Histórico por la Universidad Pablo de Olavide (2019). Actualmente, investigador predoctoral en el Departamento de Pintura y Conservación-Restauración de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, gracias a un contrato de Formación del Profesorado Universitario (FPU20/00384) del Ministerio de Universidades de España.

Alicia Sánchez Ortiz , Universidad Complutense de Madrid

Profesora titular en el Departamento de Pintura y Conservación-Restauración de la Facultad de Bellas Artes (UCM) desde 1993. Ha dirigido 3 proyectos de I+D+i y 2 Santander-UCM, y ha formado parte del equipo investigador en 6 proyectos nacionales. Forma parte del panel de expertos en la ANECA, la AEI y ACSUCyL. Dirige desde hace 3 años el Grupo de Investigación UCM Arte, Tecnología, Imagen y Conservación del Patrimonio Cultural (Ref. 970923).
