Gas mask from the Spanish Civil War from Cinglo Alt: study and conservation-restoration.

Abstract

This article is based on the final assignment of the degree in the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage Studies at the ESCRBCC. The object of this work is the diverse remains of a gas mask found at Cinglo Alt, an archaeological site from the Spanish Civil War located in Pallars (Lleida). This article describes the various aspects involved in the conservation of the mask, as well as information on its origin, the investigation into the nature of its materials and the conservation-restoration process.
