Abstract
This article focuses on disseminating the importance of implementing and complementing sustainable development in the preservation and restoration of cultural heritage. The concept of eco-development is an emerging practice in multidisciplinary research and arises from the need for all groups and individuals to combat the climate emergency.
This research focuses on the opportunity to devise sustainable alternatives to the auxiliary materials currently used in the recovery techniques employed on archaeological artefacts, as well as their subsequent packing and transport, reducing or eliminating the use of plastics from nonrenewable energies.
