Early Film Footage. Vall Collection, Recovery of Some Cellulose Nitrate Negatives from the Beginning of the XX Centur y.

Abstract

In 2015 a small collection of cellulose nitrate negatives from the beginning of the XX century were
discovered in an old warehouse. Later, with the help of the family who own the warehouse and the footage,
steps are taken to entrust the collection to the Centro de Conservación y Restauración de la Filmoteca de
Cataluña and work on the cataloguing, characterisation, restoration, digitalization and preservation of this
small collection begins.
